How To Increase Your Swagger

increasing your swaggerAccording to the dictionary “swagger” means that you are aggressive and that you are arrogant.  I completely disagree in this completely, I know you are surprised.  Swagger in the terms that I use them in this podcast is the description of what you are about.  Your essence or your air about you.  This can be altered and changed to make yourself better or more attractive.  However, this goes well beyond the fact that you are trying to find someone to date.  This goes into the world of business.  Do you think that having a low amount of confidence could cost you a promotion or even a job?  Of course!  When polled over a large group of women, what do they look for in a man, it came down to a list of qualities that have been transposed and explained on today’s podcast.

Keep in mind that four year old Katarina needs our help to purchase a diabetic alert dog.  Her story and how you can help can be found in the podcast where I interviewed her and her parents.  Man Up and donate to her go fund me page.

Throwback- 15 Chivalrous Things To Do

This is a throwback to the podcast 15 Chivalrous Things You May Not Be Doing.  It has come to my attention that there are subscribers that have not been exposed to the older podcasts.  While I am in the process of writing my book about Executive Protection for the Family, Wednesday shows will be dedicated to older shows.  If you have a favorite show, please email me or contact me to let me know.  It can be put in the running for a throwback show.

15 chivalrous things that you may not be doingBeing chivalrous is somewhat of a lost art.  We cannot consider ourselves being gentlemen without analyzing ourselves and finding ways to make ourselves more humble.  There are literately hundreds of ways that men in our day have failed to be a chivalrous gentleman and we need to change this and teach this to our children and the people that look up to us in life.

What are some Chivalrous things that I might not be doing?

Join me today as I discuss:

  • Why we need chivalrous men in this world
  • Why it matters to us
  • The 15 things we can start doing today
  1. Opening the car door
  2. Opening the doors for others
  3. Calling instead of texting
  4. Actually listening and engaging in conversation
  5. Standing up for her
  6. Buying her flowers
  7. Keep your phone in your pocket
  8. Holding the umbrella for her
  9. Dress up for her
  10. Learn about her
  11. Never be late
  12. Make sure she got home safe
  13. Do not worry about her past
  14. Do not play games
  15. Be her gentleman, no one else’s

A Gentleman’s Guide To Cologne

a gentleman's guide to cologneHave you ever been in a room and smelled someones cologne well before they stepped into the room?  I am talking about being in the middle of a conversation and get hit by a mac truck of smell and then the guy steps in.  Or when you are getting done working out and walk toward the locker room and have to don a hazmat suit just to get through the fog that is axe spray?  Today we are going to discuss how it should be used.  Contrary to popular belief, cologne should not be an offensive weapon.  Cologne should be discovered when a lady gets close to you.  With this next show in the ever going series of the Gentlemen’s Guide I am going to explain how you should apply your cologne in a way that lures women to you instead of repels them away.

Don’t be that guy, listen to a gentleman’s guide to cologne

    • how much is too much
    • Which one works better
      • body wash
      • spray on
      • aftershave
    • what is the best way to apply it
      • spray and walk through
      • spray on wrist and put on neck
      • spray directly on clothes
    • how is it made
    • how dangerous is cologne to put directly on skin
    • what are some different alternatives to cologne

Cell Phone Etiquette – A Gentlemen’s Guide

Cell Phone Etiquette - A Gentlemen's GuideEveryone has a cell phone now.  Your children has a cell phone, your grandparents has a cell phone, but what annoys me and everyone around me is how we have not developed an etiquette.  Maybe we have, but have we… wait a moment… yeah, no I can talk… Okay, sorry, now I am back and I swear I am more interested in this conversation.  Maybe we have figured out an cell phone etiquette but have we implemented it?  I would ague that is has not based on how society has developed our lives along side our distraction device.

I do enjoy my cell phone and I do use it to acomplish different tasks.  However, I have employed a set of rules that I do not violate.  An etiquette that I will not go behind because I put more stock with face to face interaction versus over the cell phone.

How do we employee our own cell phone etiqutte?

    • when we answer our phones
    • What dictates an emergency
    • when is texting appropriate
    • no cell phone zones

Cold Weather Recipes

cold weather recipesThere is no denying that the cold is upon us.  This is the time of year that the darkness starts to overtake the light in their everlasting battle for time in the sky.  Not only are we going to experience shorter days but we are in the prime of the year to have recipes that bring back major traditions.  The concept of traditions can bring someone back in their memories to a time in their lives that made them super happy.  Traditional recipes that make them remember a time that was once an easier time.  Recipes that are not just easy to make and useful to clean out the garden but that have a wonderful taste.  Along with stunning recipes but traditions that make these recipes what they are.  Alone they are just a soup and a stew but with a tradition behind them make it so much more.

Head over to my friends site called Carolina Givens where he has an awesome list of recipes to choose from.  He is not a sponsor but he does deserve some of your love.  Check him out!

What are some cold weather recipes that i should look into?

  • Vegetable Soup
  • Brunswick Stew
  • Why I have these recipes on my list
  • What traditions are related to these recipes
  • Why you should consider bringing these recipes into your traditions

Ending Relationships Like A Gentleman

ending relationships like a gentlemanRelationships come and go during life like the breeze.  Some are beneficial and last longer than others and some are parasitic and should be dropped as soon as the show is over.  Some takes us years to get over and some are easy to do so with.  Between family, employers, and friends we live complicate lives that go through certain cycles and we have certain times in life where we have to let people go because we either disagree or we just do not have time to spend time together.  We end those relationships with dignity and curtacy instead of with text messages or like during high school, a note.  We sit down and talk to them like they are people and not just sponges through our lives.  Today, as gentlemen, we should consider changing the ways we end our relationships and decide to do them the right way.  Instead of ending relationships that leave questions in the air and assumptions between both parties relationships should end with an agreement and all questions answered.  Along the same lines, we discuss relationships ending between employee and employer and how to do this without wanting to “burn the place down”.

How do gentlemen end relationships

  • we end relationships with
    • best friends
    • regular friends
    • employers
    • family
  • why all this matters to a gentleman

Overcoming Fear

Overcoming FearEveryone has some fear that they harbor their entire life.  That is completely understandable, however there is a way that we can take this fear and completely rationalize it out.  Fear comes in many different forms from a simple hackle showing up on your neck to having a complete melt down.  There is a understandable hesitation when it comes to overcoming fear in most cases but as gentlemen we should be able to look at fear and at least recognize it for what it is worth.

Join me today as I talk about:

  • What are the common fears
  • Why it is important for us to take these fears and rationalize them
  • Overcoming common fears
