As a Gentleman, you want a farm. Plain and simple. Before you get up in arms about how you don’t have the space or the time to own a farm, you need to listen to this episode. First off, we measure size in acres and time in minutes. Farm does not describe these two things. It describes your acts and your goals. No matter what you call it (homestead, farmstead, hobby farming) it all means the same thing and does not mean anything about the size. I didn’t start my farming efforts with land and money. I actually started with a few researching years and then graduated to containers. My first break was when I had a patch of dirt that I could call my own. From there my life has been enriched.
You are not going to be a farmer overnight. You are not going to want to spend a lot of money upfront on this kind of thing. Understand that this show is not going to be about how to start one. You are going to get a lot of “why this matters” today. If this is confusing, give me the next 45 minutes to light a fire in you to change your mind.
